New Big Boi Single feat. George Clinton and Too $hort – “Fo Yo Sorrows”

Big Boi – 1/2 of raps greatest duo, OutKast – hasn’t released a new record since 2006’s Idlewild, but we’re happy to tell you that the Atlanta based rapper’s first solo disc will be out in May (we think).  Sir Lucious Left Foot: Son of Chico Dusty has been delayed several times due to disputes with his label and the exact release still is not known, but this album is sure to be worth the wait.  It will be chock-full of signature trunk-rattling OutKast funk beats and features several notable guest appearances including Andre 3000, George Clinton, Too $hort, Jamie Foxx, T.I., and Gucci Mane among others.  “If I can listen to it every day for years,” Big Boi says, “I know fans will wear it out when they get it.”

“Fo Yo Sorrows” is the newest single off Sir Lucious, and includes guest appearances from funk god, George Clinton and hip-hop legend, Too $hort.  The song features a heavily distorted synth bass riff, spacey keyboard blips, a thumping drumbeat, and a catchy hook that have come to define the head-bobbing sound of the Dirty South.

It’s dope (no pun intended), so check it out after the jump.

“Royal Flush” feat. Raekwon and Andre 3000 is another track from the album that debuted in 2008.
