How to Make It in America | The Mixtape

If you are like me and watch a lot of HBO, you’ve probably caught a glimpse of the trailer for the new show “How to Make It in America” that premieres this Sunday at 10pm following Big Love.   The show, produced by Mark Wahlberg, focuses on a few twenty-something entrepreneurs who are trying to make it in NYC – and looks promising – but the focus here is on the mixtape that Kid Cudi (who has a role in the show) went in with DJ Green Lantern & Broke Mogul to produce.

Appearances by Chromeo, Phoenix, Freddie Gibbs, Lupe Fiasco, and Cudi as well – among others – highlight this compilation.  With that lineup, it’s pretty obvious that this thing runs over a few genres – in an awesome manner of course.
